The existing, tired and dated property had small rooms, a lack of living accommodation and poor connections to the garden.
ArchitectureLIVE's design added an open plan kitchen and dining area and gallery study extension. The conversion of the existing dining room and kitchen into a new snug area provided further flexible living space. A new master bedroom suite extension replacing an existing flat roof completed the new accommodation.
This property benefits from thermal improvements to the existing building envelope through out including insulated timber cladding facades, replacing the existing concrete tile hanging. Together with a new south facing terrace and easterly kitchen garden ArchitectureLIVE's design provided an exciting transformation for this property.

This is the east elevation of the new extension completely clad in insulated timber and stained black in the style of traditional West Sussex barns. The full-height glazing and feature window flood the open-plan space inside with daylight.

Restored Parquet Flooring runs throughout the open-plan ground floor. The existing dining room and kitchen were converted into a snug which now provides flexible living space and features a wood-burning stove.
The existing bathroom was refurbished with new sanitary ware, large porcelain tiles and a partially mirrored wall.
The ensuite shower/dressing room boasts a floor to ceiling window and large mirror to maximise daylight levels.
